Hotel casamara - Kandy

It was around 9.30pm which is quite late for Kandy people to go out for dinner &  coinciding with the observance of Poson Poya Day gave us a limited choice .  When we arrived at the hotel, the atmosphere was calm, with only one other table occupied by diners engaged in quite conversation. We had heard about a delightful rooftop area but were informed that it was closed as the bar wasn't operational. As we settled in, a sudden encounter with a scurrying cockroach prompted us to swiftly relocate to another table. Eventually, after a wait of approximately 20 minutes, our food arrived.   5⭐️Mulligatawny soup in Tamil LKR1000/- (Pepper soup)  Unexpected Creaminess Meets Pepper's Fiery Zest which was nice  4⭐️Sri Lanka omelet LKR 1000 A Traditional Delight Packed with Onions and Green Chilies, Paired With basic fries.   4⭐️Seafood platter LKR 3500 The grilled seafood was cooked to perfection, showcasing the natural flavors of the ocean. Lake side room service

4🌟🌶Their biryani is one of our fav, it has adequate amount of shrimp, inkling of spice. comes with raitha and fresh side salad. (this the side salad was a bit rotten, so beware before serving.  This kothu too had reasonable amount of prawns, the paratha was a bit dry, it had a creamy gravy with hint of spice for Sri Lankan standard.   Chappathi LKR 690 3 pcs in a set  They came warm and soft, pretty much healthy I guess just the way I wanted FISH TIKKA LKR 2120   MUST TRY  This was simply  amazing, filled with Indian spices, and the texture super creamy with around 6 pcs of boneless fish cubes!! gosh I'm drooling as I think of it!                                             Ceylon curry club @ Old Dutch hospital    So my foodie group who got me to explore all types of food got reunited for this month, they flow down for 2 weeks and we had our 1st outing tonight  So my friend who is was in Germany missed, Srilankan food so much and mostly she was craving seafood, (given the exorbitant price she had to pay for it was ready to splurge herself in seafood here)  was in the mood to go with ministry of crabs, but uncle the most senior member of the group suggested the Ceylon curry club  Uncle: ministry of crabs is a rip off, when we can eat a hearty meal right next door.  so here is my take of Ceylon curry club  started off with a complimentary cinnamon tea which was very good, while we had the conversation of how everyone is trying to export cinnamon out and make a second stream of income in these tough times    5 🌟 12.5kg Negambo lagoon crab cart LKR 12750    ( spice level - mild)  This dish was the major attraction

Upali’s by nawaloka - srilankan resturant

1. Ambiance - A basic family restaurant with a balcony where alcohol is served  They have a coffee shop next door too  2. Food presentation - good  3. Food taste - good  4. Staff - naveen sulakshana who served us, went well beyond with service. His approach was frisky and courteous above all concerned.  Example He fixed our shaking table, added another table to give us more space as there was less crowd being a Monday, we ordered a watermelon and beer so he asked since you are having beer do you need the watermelon? So he is a valuable asset!! 5. Washroom - unisex, clean & spacious bathroom 6. Kid friendly - 2 kids chairs  7. Halal - “All our meat suppliers are halal certified” “We don’t serve beef or pork, please note.” 8.
