KUURAKU Japanese restaurant

TOTAL BILL for 2 ADULTS LKR 31,800/- including taxes  Dimly lit ambiance  All guests are greeted by staff in Japanese Chandru is very helpful. Restrooms that are tidy GEKKEIK SAKE 150ml LKR 3400/-  compared to other alcohol This surprised me by being smooth and delicious! It pleased me. MAGURO & SALMON ASHIMI 5 pc Each LKR 6000/- It includes raw salmon and tuna. If you've never tried eating raw fish, I recommend starting with salmon since it has a more pleasant, creamy melt-in-your-mouth feel than red tuna. Compared to the other fish, tuna is a little bit stronger and chewier. SPICY SALMON ROLL 4pc  LKR 1580/-  The creamy smoothness of the salmon complements the spiciness of the mayo. included some crunchy chunks, which was a wonderful touch. SPICY TUNA ROLL 4pc LKR 1580/-  This was distinctive to this restaurant because it was so hot, like naimiris had been added. nonetheless, it was tasty. GRILLED TUNA ROLL 4pc LKR 980/-  This came seasoned with black sesame seeds. The fi

Movenpick - High tea experience

For LKR 4100/ -  NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL  - A busy 24th December indeed - Courteous staff  - They had a band playing popular English Christmas songs and Sinhala songs  - whiskey and cigar room had a better ambiance than of the other table settings  From what it use to be I think movenpick has lost its ambience, but the rooftop used to be good, will check it out another day.  So HIGH TEA’s on a holiday event, I would want it to emphasis least on the beverages, like a live action station with variations on tea and coffee, so people may have festive teas like Cinnamon tea.  ginger tea  Chai Yaara  Special coffee,  Eggnog (without alcohol) or for purchase  There were mango cordials and strong coffee & tea in packets instead.  Only the ice coffee was of the highest caliber.  What an uproar SAVORY FINGER FOOD  There was only one tasty pizza: seafood.  I need the chicken lollipops in addition to everything else to make up for the excess dough and the lack of filling.  Cold and dry were t

The Bavarian (German restaurant)

BETTER RESERVE, ON WEEKENDS.    - Dim lit with pub vibe  - Didn’t notice the music  - Courteous old staff who knew the menu well  - Food presentation was basic  - Alcohol is available  - Halal - ? Kid friendly - ? The seats are quite quite compact, so if you are big made corner seats are not the best option. TOTAL BILL VALUE: LKR 21,846/- (2adults with 2 fussy kids)  Disclaimer: This is my fourth time trying the Christmas menu, and although I prefer spicy food, I don't find the menu to be very pleasurable because the items I eat tend to be sugary or undercooked.     4🌟DRY MARTINI  LKR 1265/-   This was strong, but since I feel there is less calories, ill reorder again  Classic and strong  2🌟WHITE CHRISTMAS MARTINI LKR 1300/- It was a cute presentation! I should have known better than to place a marshmallow order! It was far too sweet. But I believe most holiday beverages are usually overly sugary. (I would suggest this as a dessert beverage)  yes its just a festive drink id rathe

German bakery

Disclaimer:  I've heard that Germans don't have as much of a sweet tooth as Americans, so I guess Sri Lankans are similar to Americans in this regard. 5🌟 CHRISTMAS STOLLEN LARGE 800g LKR 3000/- Comes gift wrapped  I really liked the sweet ginger preserve bits in the first taste since it was soft and tangy like blue cheese. And the coating of sugar undoubtedly provided an extra dose of sweetness in the morning. 4🌟 Chocolate walnut brownie slab, 400g LKR 1175/- This was not at all like the browni I've had in Sri Lanka; rather, it was more like a delicate plain cake with almonds on top. What I found is that the chocolate aftertaste is more prominent than this distinct kind of sweetness which is a plus.  3🌟 Cinnamon bun x 2 LKR 950/-  In terms of cinnamon rolls, I would say that this one was inferior to those I've had at Cinnabrown and other home bakers, The filling was more like a light raisin-cinnamon filling, and it was light and flaky but not as flaky a

Lago (Italian tropical bistro)

Food presentation - simple and uncomplicated 3. Food taste - 5 star 4. Staff - polite and knowledgeable while making menu recommendations 5. Washroom - One must utilize the mall's public restrooms. 6. Kid friendly - 1 baby seat available  7. Halal - The restaurant uses halal meat  8. Price - Starting from  LKR 600 to 5500 maximum  The meals I selected Illy Martini - LKR 2200/-  6 ✩ Illy espresso, vodka, tia Maria, and bees honey blended together The first taste revealed how chilly the beverage was, followed by the taste of the coffee and finally, a pleasant undertone. Light, foamy beverage! Fritto Misto Di mare - LKR 2500/- 4 ✩ Crumb fried seafood platter consisting of cuttlefish, prawns, and modha with tarter sauce and garlic mayo!  With the ideal balance of slat and herbs, it is non-greasy. The dips were diff
