Najma’s kitchen

Just like most restaurants in Sri Lanka, (this one is also like home Based) the place do have flies and the tiny fruit flies, I am simply giving priority for the taste  4⭐️Chicken Tikka Biryani 1400/-  🌶️🌶️ This chicken had that perfect tikka look—succulent and beautifully marinated, delivering an instant burst of heat and flavor! Paired with a refreshing onion salad, this dish was nothing short of fab. A must-try for all biryani lovers! 3.5 ✨Sev Poori 400/- An explosion of flavors in every bite! This Sev Poori, topped with creamy curd, sweet tamarind sauce, and zesty green chutney, along with crunchy murukku, is a unique treat. Not everyone's cup of tea, but it can easily double as a delightful dessert instead of the usual starter.  Masala Chai 200/- A robust blend of spices and sweetness, this Masala Chai is the perfect pick-me-up. Strong, flavorful.  Sub total  2000/- Tax 200/-  Total 2200/-

5⭐️Watermelon coconut    (L) Rs.2000 ‼️If you’re not a coconut fan it’s not for you.  It looked lovely in its pink hue.  1st sip is like sweet Jasmin!  Confused and kept drinking, and eventually relinquishing the flavor of coconut cream and jelly, condensed milk sago and lots of ice!  📝 May be add more ingredients and less ice?  👩‍💻FUN FACT  Who made the first watermelon? In 2022, a study was released that traced 6,000-year-old watermelon seeds found in the Libyan desert to the Egusi seeds of Nigeria, West Africa. Watermelons were domesticated in north-east Africa, and cultivated in Egypt by 2000 BC, although they were not the sweet modern variety.

5⭐️Lime and mint LKR 900 Pretty fresh with lots of lime and sugar on the side.  3⭐️Chocolate shake LKR 1350 A regular shake that did the job  For starters they had kept some  Focaccia bread which I found not fresh, on the other hand the bread sticks were good and crispy.  4⭐️Vellutata di verdure freche LKR 2300 A hearty pumpkin soup. But I won’t be ordering it again as I find it not worth the price. Garlic bread that came with soup also was not very exceptional.  3.5 ⭐️panino con salmone affumicato LKR 2700 Such a simple sandwich, smoked salmon, lettuce tomato and butter! is it worth price of the salmon ? I am not so sure if I would be in a hurry ti try it again.  When we got the bill we also got three complimentary cookies for a dessert! Which was such a nice gesture!  👩‍💻FUN FACT  So why does it tend to be more expensive to purchase? Friends who have worked in the restaurant industry had some thoughts: Focaccia requires a lot of olive oil, which is pricey (though some other breads

Dosa by ruvi (No tax!)

Vijay fans, you've got to check out this place! I wonder if the ilaya thalapathy knows such a gem exists in Sri Lanka! 4.5⭐️ The plain dosa priced at LKR 650/- is an absolute must-try. It's the crispiest dosa I've ever had! While the sambar was average, the coconut chutney boasted of distinct and delightful flavors. 4⭐️For something truly unique, try the T-67 priced at LKR 1590/-. It's like biryani but with a twist - two parathas layered with mutton gravy. Starting from a crunchy onion omelette at the bottom, each layer adds its own flavor, all complemented by a delicious gravy that doesn't overpower with excessive flavor enhancers, including salt. 5⭐️Don't miss out on the Kumbakonam degree coffee at LKR 370/-. It's a strong yet sweet milk coffee that's simply divine. 4⭐️And for dessert, indulge in the Gulab Jamun dosa priced at LKR 690/-. It's a crispy dosa generously slathered with sexy syrup, with the jamun adding a burst of flavor. The syrup is

2⭐️ "Priced at LKR 685, the hibiscus iced tea wasn't to my liking. It was overly sweet and had a scent reminiscent of bug spray, which I found off-putting. Definitely not my cup of tea!" 3⭐️ "For LKR 570, the Vimto was a bit disappointing. It's essentially a simple cordial, lacking that special something. Despite evoking nostalgic memories, it's not worth the price." 4.5⭐️ "I thoroughly enjoyed the chili, minced meat, and cheese manakish priced at LKR 1520. It had a delightful level of spiciness with minced beef, chilis, and cheese." 4⭐️The chicken and cheese manakish priced at LKR 1340  was quite enjoyable. Initially, I was unaware that manakish means pizza in Lebanese, so it resembled more of a lasagna pizza to me, with minced chicken and cheese. The portion size is akin to a personal pan pizza."
