5🌟Seafood fried rice LKR2535 

Pretty good, the ratio of seafood to rice was well balanced. Generally the rice will consist of additional flavor enhancements, however it seemed otherwise 



5🌟 chicken cashew nuts LKR 2145 

This is one of the main go to! The chicken deep fried in sauce and plenty of cashew nuts with bell papers too add to the crunch. 


 


5🌟Green papaya salad LKR 1035

This is the 1st time I’m having the papaya salad, It had a sweet/ sour taste because of the vinegar. Freshly grated crunchy papay. Portion is pretty big and satisfying. 

Surprisingly the combo tasted well with the chicken and the rice.

This place is BYOB, so we didn’t but the beer and come, and was contemplating if they would get it for us. 


The waiter, didn’t offer, after. Commotion of who needs to get the beer, the manager came and said he can send the waiter for for it, that we can go ahead and do the order.

When we arrived at the restaurant around 10 PM, we were the only customers. Despite this, the staff were efficient and quick, leading us to expect subpar or pre-cooked food. To our surprise, everything was excellent.

New year dinner for 4 pax without taxes - 50,000/- (12,500 per person)  It was undoubtedly a crowded evening at the Central Cafe in Shangila. We had booked appointments to eat there during the celebrations for the new year.
