EpiQ Express gourmet

I am truly a fan of this place

Chili prawn LKR3000
A regular pizza with sizable amount of cheese and prawns. Loved every bite as always

This 5* chicken kebab Wraptor  LKR 1050 is MUST TRY
filled seasoned kebabs and veggies and cheese, there is no shortage of meat in this!! and the garlic mayo complimented it will

18th march 23 what I tried

🌟Savory crepe - chili paneer LKR 1100
as shown above this was not the best paneer, I would say in general their fillings and their portion is pretty good.
but this paneer i found it to be a bit more harder than a usual paneer, may be because it was fried, but some how it did not sit right with me.

I also tried their Savory crepe - 4🌟chili prawns LKR 1450
This was more in depth with flavor compared to the paneer, and for every bite you will get a a piece of prawn. so yes I will try this again

these pics were taken on 2 separate occasions - some times the taste may vary

I also had a 4🌟ginger tea LKR 400 with Medium sugar  as I was having a cold that day (as usual)
I  was a bit taken back that they had used milk powder and not real milk, as one did find the residue. ( I personally like that since as a child I use to eat milk powder) I am not sure about the others

Very much impressed with the staff that they remember to ask about the sugar level!

Will I try the ginger tea again? YES

Above is the 4🌟Choco biscoff LKR 1200 (regular)
this comes under the Asian Crepe which is wafer crispy like, I would say this had more chocolate than biscoff.
you can add toppings of your choice for additional taste like fruits and nuts

Will I try this again? Maybe

5🌟 Grilled chicken  - LKR 1600

For a healthy meal this portion will leave you full!

A hearty portion on chicken breast grilled to perfection with perfect amount of seasoning.

Unlike other places they don’t add too much onion, and the dressing is actually not required for the salad. It’s that good

The mayo is like a fluff cloud, I’m not sure if it’s mayo as it don’t have that strong mayo taste.

The salsa is just as robust.

I will try this a million times!!

4🌟Crepe Asian - choco banana King size LKR 1600

That smell of fresh crepe and chocolate is a moment of deliciousness, but this crepe was very crispy like a wafer with a thick layer of chocolate and slices of banana

I think even the crepe batter has a bit of sweetness.. so with the added chocolate I had a definite auger rush

Yes recommended if you like it crispy

4⭐️Rotzza LKR
quesadilla between to chappathi! The beef keema was flavorful, with strong taste of lime and good amount of cheese

4.5🌟Murg (Chicken) Biryani - 1350/-

This is a kachchi biryani, where raw chicken is layered with rice and slow-cooked together in dum, unlike the other biryani, where the meat is pre-cooked before being combined with rice.

The dish had a rich flavor, with a generous blend of spices and tender chicken beautifully layered throughou with a fresh raitha

5🤩 Crystal Prawn Dumpling LKR1500  MUST TRY  🤤 Simple but i loved it! Glistening in a pearl-like sheet, these dumplings are a visual feast. Delicately wrapped, each bite reveals a succulent prawn, offering a taste as light as the ocean breeze. 5🌟 Chicken Scallops and Chives Dumpling LKR1500 Shaped like an ear, with a slight roast enhancing the hidden, lightly flavored meatball. A vibrant presentation adds to the overall experience. 🤩 Sweet and Sour Garupa LKR7000  MUST TRY  The star of the table, initially intimidating with its head and eyes. Despite the initial scare, guests devoured it like a salad. Fried in a light batter with a golden syrup bath, the fish body surprises with a bone-free, crunchy delight. The hint of pineapple, sweet corn, and the crunch of bell pepper leave you yearning for more. 🤩 XO Fried Rice with Scallops and Prawns LKR2900  MUST TRY  A loaded delight with prawns and egg, making additional side dishes nearly obsolete. 5 ⭐️ Sich...

Kaikos - No tax

Brightly lit and featuring a play area for kids with various toys and activities, this space aims to evoke nostalgia with its old Sinhala songs reminiscent of an old Kade. Staff Are nice and welcoming  3.5 ⭐️  Salmon Cheese Sandwich (700/-)  A basic sandwich served hot, with the perfect amount of spice. Although the cheese was hardly noticeable, I'll definitely order this again. 4.5 ⭐️  Latte (650/-)  A perfectly crafted, regular latte without sugar. It’s just right. 4 ⭐️  Coconut Latte (750/-)  I initially thought this would be made with coconut milk, but it’s a regular latte topped with desiccated coconut flakes. Slightly sweeter than the regular latte, it's pleasant but not something I’d order again. 3⭐️Club Sandwich – 1000/- The fries accompanying the sandwich had an unpleasant aftertaste, suggesting that the oil used for frying was subpar. The sandwich itself fell short of a true club sandwich. While it featured multiple layers, the meat—possibly ...

Central all day dining- Shangrila buffet

New year dinner for 4 pax without taxes - 50,000/- (12,500 per person)  It was undoubtedly a crowded evening at the Central Cafe in Shangila. We had booked appointments to eat there during the celebrations for the new year. As in usual days they have a variety of menu, but they yet again made it extravagant.  There were several meat carvings, including hog, turkey, and fish, along with a wide selection of sauces, veggies, pickles, and condiments and not mention the ice carvings that one can admire inclusive a cheese fountain.      In 1971, Malaysian entrepreneur Robert Kuok introduced the Shangri-La chain of hotels. The first Shangri-La hotel debuted in Singapore in 1971, and since then the company has grown to include hotels all over the world under its renowned luxury hotel brand. Consequently, you will find some foreign chefs and management maintaining the international standards and it also  adds a Singaporean and Hong Kong touch in their menu. Even tho...
