4🌟Sapporo/ Japanese cheese cake 1250/-

Discover the 'Plain Jane' of desserts.

It’s the butter cake of Japan!

light and fluffy Japanese cheesecake boasts a subtly sweet, dense flavor nice for the evening, who fancy a simple single flavor.

4🤩YUZU MATCHA 1880/-

This Yuzu Matcha is refreshingly unique, boasting a dairy-free blend perfect for sultry days. The vibrant yellow-green hue is visually appealing, and the drink balances honey's sweetness with the tartness of citrusy yuzu, evoking aromas of rosemary, grapefruit, or perhaps passion fruit. Served with abundant ice, soda, and pure matcha, it's a splendid choice for those with a taste for the unconventional.

5🤩Mocha 1100/- (MUST TRY)

Mochas – The term “mocha” means a mixture of coffee and chocolate. Mochas originated in Yemen, and they contain a pleasant chocolate flavor. This coffee is generally sweet and is served with a layer of milk on top

5⭐️Tiramisu Cake (1400/-) A soft vanilla cake, perfectly soaked with fragrant coffee, provides a delightful base. A decadent layer of rich chocolate is concealed within, & out making it an ideal treat for coffee lovers. I would definitely purchase this again.

5🤩Matcha Magic (1500/-) MUST TRY

This sophisticated drink features a thick, frothy matcha layer with a pronounced bitter tea flavor and a hint of coconut aftertaste. The bottom layer of heavy cream  ny itself, was a perfect complement, rich in taste without being sweet.
Definitely I’ll reorder

5⭐️BB Barbie Flavor (1880/-)
The top milk layer had a subtle hint of banana. The bottom was a vibrant spring green, with condensed milk mixed in. It tasted like banana and almond, and was intensely sweet.
🤔 even though I won’t order this again, my friend who is the fan of that color and loves sweet would.

4⭐️Blueberry White Chocolate Cake Slice (1400/-)
This vanilla cake, filled with a fresh blueberry compote, surprised me with its white chocolate chips that initially tasted like cashews. It was finished with a delightful vanilla butter icing.
Yes I’ll go for this again

4🌟 Hojicha Matcha – 1580/-
After a quick search, I found that Hojicha is a roasted green tea, quite different from traditional matcha. It had a rich, smoky flavor, almost like roasted chocolate, with an earthy undertone. I opted for no sugar, which made it quite intense, almost like drinking roasted grass. Still, it's an acquired taste, and I’m open to trying it again.

5🌟 Hot Chocolate Peppermint – 950/-
This drink was sweet, with a perfect blend of rich chocolate and refreshing peppermint. The aroma enhanced the experience, making it a delightful treat.

4🌟 Peanut Butter Caramel Cake – 1400/-
The chocolate sponge had a slightly overpowering taste of baking soda, which detracted from the overall texture. However, the peanut butter center and salted caramel beautifully complemented the dark chocolate, creating a satisfying balance of flavors.

3🌟 Cinnamon Roll – 1100/-
A generously sized cinnamon roll, but it felt dry and overly doughy. It lacked the softness and rich flavor I usually expect from a cinnamon roll, making it underwhelming.

5🤩 Crystal Prawn Dumpling LKR1500  MUST TRY  🤤 Simple but i loved it! Glistening in a pearl-like sheet, these dumplings are a visual feast. Delicately wrapped, each bite reveals a succulent prawn, offering a taste as light as the ocean breeze. 5🌟 Chicken Scallops and Chives Dumpling LKR1500 Shaped like an ear, with a slight roast enhancing the hidden, lightly flavored meatball. A vibrant presentation adds to the overall experience. 🤩 Sweet and Sour Garupa LKR7000  MUST TRY  The star of the table, initially intimidating with its head and eyes. Despite the initial scare, guests devoured it like a salad. Fried in a light batter with a golden syrup bath, the fish body surprises with a bone-free, crunchy delight. The hint of pineapple, sweet corn, and the crunch of bell pepper leave you yearning for more. 🤩 XO Fried Rice with Scallops and Prawns LKR2900  MUST TRY  A loaded delight with prawns and egg, making additional side dishes nearly obsolete. 5 ⭐️ Sich...

Kaikos - No tax

Brightly lit and featuring a play area for kids with various toys and activities, this space aims to evoke nostalgia with its old Sinhala songs reminiscent of an old Kade. Staff Are nice and welcoming  3.5 ⭐️  Salmon Cheese Sandwich (700/-)  A basic sandwich served hot, with the perfect amount of spice. Although the cheese was hardly noticeable, I'll definitely order this again. 4.5 ⭐️  Latte (650/-)  A perfectly crafted, regular latte without sugar. It’s just right. 4 ⭐️  Coconut Latte (750/-)  I initially thought this would be made with coconut milk, but it’s a regular latte topped with desiccated coconut flakes. Slightly sweeter than the regular latte, it's pleasant but not something I’d order again. 3⭐️Club Sandwich – 1000/- The fries accompanying the sandwich had an unpleasant aftertaste, suggesting that the oil used for frying was subpar. The sandwich itself fell short of a true club sandwich. While it featured multiple layers, the meat—possibly ...

Central all day dining- Shangrila buffet

New year dinner for 4 pax without taxes - 50,000/- (12,500 per person)  It was undoubtedly a crowded evening at the Central Cafe in Shangila. We had booked appointments to eat there during the celebrations for the new year. As in usual days they have a variety of menu, but they yet again made it extravagant.  There were several meat carvings, including hog, turkey, and fish, along with a wide selection of sauces, veggies, pickles, and condiments and not mention the ice carvings that one can admire inclusive a cheese fountain.      In 1971, Malaysian entrepreneur Robert Kuok introduced the Shangri-La chain of hotels. The first Shangri-La hotel debuted in Singapore in 1971, and since then the company has grown to include hotels all over the world under its renowned luxury hotel brand. Consequently, you will find some foreign chefs and management maintaining the international standards and it also  adds a Singaporean and Hong Kong touch in their menu. Even tho...
