3⭐️This pasta was tailor made at LKR 2900

The custom-made pasta initially impressed with its neatly arranged prawns atop the creamy base. However, the lack of vibrant greens to accentuate the prawns, feeling somewhat monochromatic and overly orchestrated. The aroma of seafood permeated the air, suggesting a perhaps overbearing use of cream cheese and a lingering sense that the plate wasn't thoroughly cleaned, and it didn’t have salt, not a complaint as we can add the salt to our preference, but it’s the smell that put me off. Not gonna order that again!

4⭐️Strawberry milkshake LKR 1900,
kids will surly love this.
Usual full of strawberry ice cream and a tad bit of milk, good for a sugar rush but not my thing at all
5🤩 MUST TRY
The Mezze platter priced at LKR 2300
Arrived impeccably presented, each component thoughtfully arranged. The section of dips, glistening in olive oil, sat elegantly alongside a fresh salad, creating an inviting tableau.

Starting with the Hummus, made with chickpeas its nutty and tangy flavor, thanks to the tahini, was complemented by bright lemon notes and subtle garlic undertones. The mutable, akin to baba ghannouj, showcased the richness of roasted eggplant. Meanwhile, the falafel, resembling cutlets but crafted from chickpeas or fava beans, boasted a medley of herbs, delivering a burst of flavors.

The marinated olives added a delightful tanginess to the ensemble, while the fattoush, a dainty side salad featuring fresh greens, bean sprouts, and edible flowers, offered a refreshing crunch with its tiny pita crisps.

The tzatziki, a yogurt dip infused with finely shredded cucumbers, garlic, and possibly dill, contributed a cool yet zesty flavor profile.

Accompanied by super-thin flatbread, purportedly with smoked chili and red pepper, though the latter was elusive in taste. Notably, all dips were enhanced with a blend of extra virgin and coconut oil, evoking a Middle Eastern essence.

The mysterious orange dip possibly featured red pepper, exhibiting a mustardy base with subtle bitterness and a hint of heat. As for the smoked chili, its green variant appeared to be melded with cheese, resulting in a rich, earthy flavor sensation.

Their all black washroom made me wanna snap!

Kaikos - No tax

Brightly lit and featuring a play area for kids with various toys and activities, this space aims to evoke nostalgia with its old Sinhala songs reminiscent of an old Kade. Staff Are nice and welcoming  3.5 ⭐️  Salmon Cheese Sandwich (700/-)  A basic sandwich served hot, with the perfect amount of spice. Although the cheese was hardly noticeable, I'll definitely order this again. 4.5 ⭐️  Latte (650/-)  A perfectly crafted, regular latte without sugar. It’s just right. 4 ⭐️  Coconut Latte (750/-)  I initially thought this would be made with coconut milk, but it’s a regular latte topped with desiccated coconut flakes. Slightly sweeter than the regular latte, it's pleasant but not something I’d order again. 3⭐️Club Sandwich – 1000/- The fries accompanying the sandwich had an unpleasant aftertaste, suggesting that the oil used for frying was subpar. The sandwich itself fell short of a true club sandwich. While it featured multiple layers, the meat—possibly ...

Central all day dining- Shangrila buffet

New year dinner for 4 pax without taxes - 50,000/- (12,500 per person)  It was undoubtedly a crowded evening at the Central Cafe in Shangila. We had booked appointments to eat there during the celebrations for the new year. As in usual days they have a variety of menu, but they yet again made it extravagant.  There were several meat carvings, including hog, turkey, and fish, along with a wide selection of sauces, veggies, pickles, and condiments and not mention the ice carvings that one can admire inclusive a cheese fountain.      In 1971, Malaysian entrepreneur Robert Kuok introduced the Shangri-La chain of hotels. The first Shangri-La hotel debuted in Singapore in 1971, and since then the company has grown to include hotels all over the world under its renowned luxury hotel brand. Consequently, you will find some foreign chefs and management maintaining the international standards and it also  adds a Singaporean and Hong Kong touch in their menu. Even tho...
