4🌟 Eggs Benedict with Crispy Chicken - 1980/-

Delight in a mini brioche bun topped with boneless, crispy fried chicken, caramelized onions, poached eggs were the opposite, it was almost fully cooked. Finished with Hollandaise sauce and a touch of microgreens. And if I’m not mistaken that they have added a sweet chili sauce.  A dish so good, you’ll be coming back for more.

 5🌟 Royale Hot Chocolate - 1300/-

Experience the ultimate in indulgence with our Royale Hot Chocolate. This creamy, perfectly sweetened blend of dark chocolate is a must-try. One sip, and you’ll understand why it’s a repeat favorite.

4🌟 Tamarind Chai Kombucha - 980/-

Refresh yourself with our fizzy Tamarind Chai Kombucha, a gut-healthy delight. The tamarind adds a perfect balance of sweet and sour, making it a superior choice to any beer or soda.

👩‍💻FUN FACT

Is kombucha better for you than alcohol?

Still, hard kombucha may be a better choice than other alcoholic beverages. "We do know that kombucha is brewed with natural ingredients like black or green tea and bacteria and yeast, which can provide a bevy of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that our body appreciates," said Beckerman.

3.5⭐️ Creamy prawn pasta 2100/-

Extra cheese 260/-

Dry as apposed to creamy, with a handfuls of prawns, my friend didn’t like it as much, I was not as fussy.

3.5⭐️ Prawn burger 1680/-

A simple burger with a very soft bun, crispy batter fried prawns on some shredded lettuce.

4⭐️Milo milkshake,1350/-

Milo suger rush

4⭐️Caramel macchiato 880/-

A Touch of caramel that enhance the taste of the rich milk coffee 🤔why don’t they heat the coffee to HOT, it’s always less a bit more than room temp, and it gets cold so fast.

5⭐️The bagel I choose as it’s filled with polos, which is looks and taste almost like chicken and the scrambled were soft and fluffy too which paired together with the soft bagel.

The waffle was soft and sweet by itself, but for a savory dish I felt it was too sweet. It came with crumb fried prawns with a sort of purée (which I was not sure if it was pumpkin or peanut. The taste was nice by itself but the pairing was quite off.

Iced Matcha Medium for LKR 980! Love it or hate it, the distinctive taste of matcha is an adventure for your taste buds. The best surprise? They handed over the sugar separately – no need to ask! Sweet move, Tea Avenue! 🍵💚

Caramel Frappe at LKR 1200! Pro tip: Go wild with whipped cream (for a bit extra). Even without it, this beverage is a caffeinated carnival – a powerful combo of coffee, sugar, and caramel that'll get you hyped in no time! ☕🎉

5 Avocado Toast priced at LKR 1300 Imagine a thick slice of bread generously slathered with a mysterious paste, crowned with creamy avocado, juicy tomatoes, and a perfectly poached egg drizzled with hollandaise sauce. It's so good; you'll find yourself contemplating seconds before you even finish the first bite! 🥑🍳🤤

Tried this again and it was horrible, I think they lack consistency

3🌟Waffles with Spicy Tuna - 1880/-

Dish Components: Waffle, Spicy Tuna, Tomato, Green Cucumber, Tortilla Chips

The tortilla chips had a distinctly Sri Lankan flair, with a satisfying spiciness that added a nice crunch to the dish.

However, the waffle itself was overly sweet and soft, creating a jarring contrast with the other ingredients.

The tuna, unfortunately, was a disappointment. It lacked the promised spiciness, instead reminding me more of a local tin salmon sambol, heavily accented with lime. The overall experience was underwhelming, and this is not a dish I would choose to order again.

Delicately wrapped, each bite reveals a succulent prawn, offering a taste as light as the ocean breeze. 5🌟 Chicken Scallops and Chives Dumpling LKR1500 Shaped like an ear, with a slight roast enhancing the hidden, lightly flavored meatball. A vibrant presentation adds to the overall experience. 🤩 Sweet and Sour Garupa LKR7000  MUST TRY  The star of the table, initially intimidating with its head and eyes. Kaikos - No tax

Brightly lit and featuring a play area for kids with various toys and activities, this space aims to evoke nostalgia with its old Sinhala songs reminiscent of an old Kade. Staff Are nice and welcoming  3.5 ⭐️  Salmon Cheese Sandwich (700/-)  A basic sandwich served hot, with the perfect amount of spice. Although the cheese was hardly noticeable, I'll definitely order this again. 4.5 ⭐️  Latte (650/-)  A perfectly crafted, regular latte without sugar. It’s just right. 4 ⭐️  Coconut Latte (750/-)  I initially thought this would be made with coconut milk, but it’s a regular latte topped with desiccated coconut flakes. Slightly sweeter than the regular latte, it's pleasant but not something I’d order again. 3⭐️Club Sandwich – 1000/- The fries accompanying the sandwich had an unpleasant aftertaste, suggesting that the oil used for frying was subpar. The sandwich itself fell short of a true club sandwich. While it featured multiple layers, the meat—possibly ...

Central all day dining- Shangrila buffet

New year dinner for 4 pax without taxes - 50,000/- (12,500 per person)  It was undoubtedly a crowded evening at the Central Cafe in Shangila. We had booked appointments to eat there during the celebrations for the new year. As in usual days they have a variety of menu, but they yet again made it extravagant.  There were several meat carvings, including hog, turkey, and fish, along with a wide selection of sauces, veggies, pickles, and condiments and not mention the ice carvings that one can admire inclusive a cheese fountain.      In 1971, Malaysian entrepreneur Robert Kuok introduced the Shangri-La chain of hotels. The first Shangri-La hotel debuted in Singapore in 1971, and since then the company has grown to include hotels all over the world under its renowned luxury hotel brand. Consequently, you will find some foreign chefs and management maintaining the international standards and it also  adds a Singaporean and Hong Kong touch in their menu. Even tho...
