Sam’s barbecue +10%SC

I have visited there twice, and both times it’s not a packed place, very out doorish, yes you get mosquitoes. And it’s not rain friendly. But very courteous people and staff  Let’s talk about food  4⭐️Mixed Grill - Rs. 5,900 A hearty spread of slow-grilled meats, seasoned with a blend of herbs and sauces. This platter features two whole chicken legs, a beef chop, 2 sausages, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, sweet pickles (was missing), and garlic bread. The highlight was undoubtedly the beef chop, cooked to a tender medium rare as recommended, which perfectly retained its juiciness and flavor. The other components, while satisfying, were fairly standard and didn’t quite stand out as much.

Only cafe opened 24/7  4⭐️Pasta La Vista with Prawns - LKR 3,350 The prawns arrived coated in a rich, sticky sauce with a hint of sweetness, reminiscent of a popular dynamite sauce. While the flavors were bold, the sauce leaned heavily on the sweeter side, making it quite distinct. 5⭐️Thambili with Crushed Ice - LKR 590 Light and invigorating, this chilled Thambili drink was a refreshing choice. Perfect for beating the heat, it brought a satisfying simplicity that truly hit the spot. 3⭐️That’s a Wrap (Prawns) - LKR 3,450 Not my fav  The wrap boasted a generous filling, but the same dynamite-style sauce made it feel slightly overpowering, especially if you’re used to creamier flavors. However, the freshly cut potato fries on the side were nicely seasoned and crispy, adding a savory balance to the meal. 5⭐️Dark Hot Chocolate - LKR 1,390 (MUST TRY)  This dark hot chocolate was perfectly indulgent, offering just the right amount of sweetness. Rich and comforting, it was the ideal companio

Col 7 - Siam house - Thai food. 4 taxes

This place is quite a nice place and is pretty busy at later hours.  Without tax - 9610/-  With all taxes - 12900/-  3.5⭐️Lime Juice 490/-  Simple yet refreshing; it offered a good balance of sweetness and tang. 3✨Thai Prawn Cake 2320/-  Reminiscent of meatballs, the prawn cakes lacked distinctive flavor. The texture was decent but did not stand out, making it unlikely to reorder. The accompanying sweet chili sauce was standard, offering no unique twist. 3⭐️Sweet and Sour Prawns 2190/-  While the dish was tangy where the sweetness claimed from the pineapple, the prawns were tender, it lacked the traditional presentation where prawns usually have a slight "tail bulb," adding visual appeal. It was a satisfactory dish but did not impress as much as expected 4⭐️Fried Rice with Seafood (medium) 2560/-  Good for 3pax  A highlight of the meal. Fragrant rice, well-seasoned, and served with whole, medium-sized fried prawns. Unlike many places that use smaller, shelled pieces, this di

4🌟Falafel 890/ 4pc  The falafels remind me of "parripu vade," but with herbs and a tasty tahini sauce. They have a savory, herby, and nutty taste, with a crispy exterior and tender center. It’s not spicy considering Sri Lankan standards.

MIXED GRILL SPECIAL 4500/-  MUSTARD LEMON & GARLIC SEASONED CHICKEN, BEEF, PORK, CHICKEN BOCKWURST SAUSAGE, FRIED EGG, FRENCH FRIES WITH BARBEQUE SAUCE. The Mixed Grill Special sounded promising with its mustard, lemon, and garlic-seasoned meats, but the reality didn’t quite match the description. The meat was drenched in BBQ sauce, overpowering the other flavors. The beef was tougher than both the pork and chicken, and the sausage lacked juiciness.  On the bright side, the fries were excellent for expectation of frozen fries. The vegetables were nicely coated in butter sauce, which was a pleasant touch. For 2 pax this is nice, not too much just right. Might give it another try.
